License manager is reporting an error message: SYNC/TIMEOUT error when I request a trial key or activating a new key. What does this mean?

Occasionally, License manager pops an error message stating a "SYNC ERROR" or "TIMEOUT" issue. This error occurs due either to slow network connection with our central server (located in the US), or our central server is experiencing high load.  

In sum, there is nothing wrong with the installation or the software. This is a temporary problem, and we suggest that you simply, retry the operation (i.e. press "Retry" on the dialog box).
