Hello and welcome to the NumXL QQ plot tutorial. In this video we'll demonstrate how to create a histogram with the help of a simple user interface available with version 1.58 of NumXL. For this example we'll be using the daily log returns of the S&P 500. First select an empty cell in your worksheet then click on the description statistics button in the NumXL toolbar. Click on the QQ plot icon.
A function wizard pops up. For input data select your sample values. The output defaults to the selected cell in your worksheet.
Once you select your data you can pick the number of quantiles or the number of points for your QQ plot. Next, click OK.
And voila, the QQ plot is in your worksheet. the output table is dynamic. You can make changes by adding new rows and copying the formula down.
That is it for now, thank you for watching!
