The descriptive statistics functionality automates the statistical basis analysis of a time series and performs a variety of statistical tests to better understand the underlying distribution of a data sample.
Process
To use this functionality, select the corresponding icon on the toolbar (or the menu item).
Point to the data sample on your worksheet, select the different test and summary statistics and designate a location on your sheet to print the results to.
The descriptive statistics wizard performs a series of data validation checks. For instance, it ensures that a significance level is a positive number smaller than one.
Output
Upon completion, the function outputs the selected statistical summaries and their corresponding tests as formulas (instead of raw numbers) in the designated location of your worksheet
