[Solved] X-12-ARIMA stops working with Bloomberg add-in enabled

0

Using Excel 2007 (32-bit SP3), NumXL 1.59  and Bloomberg add-in enabled, when I launch X-12-ARIMA dialog, enter data, X11 options, and hit Apply. the "Apply" button does not seems do anything (i.e. all other command buttons remains disabled). In other situations, I am getting a VBA range error.

If I disabled Bloomberg add-in (using Add-in manager) and restart Excel, everything seems to work just fine.

  • Based on Microsoft KB 292476 - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292476

I can report that changing calculation mode to "automatic" and clearing/deselecting "iteration" fixes the issue. However, I often like to work in some files with “manual” option selected because the files are too big and if they keep recalculating it takes a lot of time before doing any change to the excel sheet (thinking of thousands of data).

  • This issue is being fixed now. No need to change the calculation method or the "Iteration". We'll be posting a hot-fix (service pack) shortly this week.

  • A similar issue is reported with Excel 2007 and FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data) Excel Add-in.
