NumXL Tab disappears when windows explorer preview pane enabled

With preview pane enabled in windows explorer, an excel file can be double clicked to open or use Enter after selecting file. The spreadsheet opens and can be worked in but occasionally , the NumXL tab was missing and no access to the ribbon command.

Closing windows explorer and restarting Microsoft Excel restore the NumXL tab, and everything is fine then.
