Question:
Why can’t I run the X-13ARIMA-SEATS function on my 32-bit windows machine?
Answer:
NumXL is using the Windows version of U.S. census seasonal adjustment software behind the scenes.
As of June 2020, the U.S. census has discontinued delivering a 32-bit version of their program.

What does this mean?
For users running the 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows OS, the U.S. census X-13ARIMA-SEATS software is incompatible with the version of the OS and NumXL can’t invoke the program. Users are urged to upgrade their Windows OS or use the X12-ARIMA legacy seasonal adjustment function.
What about the 32-bit version of Excel?
For the 32-bit version of Microsoft Excel installed on a 64-bit version Windows system, NumXL supports the X-13ARIMA-SEATS seasonal adjustment function.
