Academic Discount Programs
Many of our customers and users frequently inquire about our academic discount and classroom pricing programs. We have two options available, depending on the number of licenses you need.
Option 1: < 25 Students and Faculty (Individual Licenses)
If you need less than 25 licenses for students and/or faculty members:
- Each student can acquire an annual license at $50.00 a year.
- We ask each student to contact us at support@numxl.com using their university email for verification. Afterward, we will send a discount code for them to use at checkout at numxl.com.
- A professor, instructor, student, or faculty member can get a 25% discount off any license type (monthly, annual, or perpetual).
- We ask that the user contact us at support@numxl.com using their university email for verification. Afterward, we will send a discount code for them to use at checkout at numxl.com
- Payment must be made via debit/credit card
- Each individual is solely responsible for his license key renewal and cancellation.

A classroom with 10 students and a professor.

IMPORTANT: The scenarios in the table above are only listed for illustration. The professor may choose a license type (e.g., perpetual) that is different from those of their students (e.g., annual).
Option 2: > 24 Students and Faculty (Site License)
- Only annual licenses are available for site licenses.
- A classroom license also includes an additional two (2) free licenses for the professor and their teaching assistant at no additional cost.
- Typically, a professor or university official contacts us requesting a price quote for a classroom of a given size (i.e., a given number of students).
- This order must be fulfilled by the academic institution, and the customer designates one contact person for the annual renewal.
- Invoices for an academic institution can be paid by purchase order (PO), wire, or check.
How is the classroom site license quote calculated?
Formula:
Example 1: Classroom of 25 students
A quoted price for an annual class license would be:

Example 2: Classroom of 45 students
A quoted price for an annual class license would be:
