Uninstalling NumXL in Windows 10

Question:

I had installed NumXL (older version prior to 1.67)  using my own credential (non-admin), and now I wish to uninstall it, but when I try to run NumXL uninstaller from "Settings --> Apps", Windows prompts me for the administrator's username and password to continue. What should I do?

Answer:

To properly uninstall NumXL from your system, we need to run the NumXL uninstaller from "Program & Features" in the classic "control panel".

  1. To launch the classic control panel under Windows 10, go to the "start menu" on your desktop (left bottom with "Windows logo"), and type "control.
Locate and launch classic control panel under Windows 10
  2. Now, click on the "Control Panel" icon in the search results to launch the App.
Locate and launch Programs & Features Applet
  3. Next, click on the "Uninstall" link to locate the NumXL program and commence the uninstallation process.
