Uninstalling NumXL in Windows 10

Question:

I had installed NumXL (an older version before 1.67) using my credentials (non-admin), and now I wish to uninstall it. However, when I try to run the NumXL uninstaller from "Settings --> Apps," Windows prompts me for the administrator's username and password to continue. What should I do?

Answer:

To properly uninstall NumXL from your system, run the NumXL uninstaller from "Program & Features" in the classic "Control Panel."

  1. To launch the classic control panel under Windows 10, go to the "start" menu on your desktop (the left bottom with the "Windows logo") and type "control."
Locate and launch classic control panel under Windows 10
  2. Now, click the "Control Panel" icon in the search results to launch the App.
Locate and launch Programs & Features Applet
  3. Next, click the "Uninstall" link to locate the NumXL program and begin the uninstallation process.
